The Story Behind the Creation
The 'Adícora' Sombrero is a tribute to the wind sanctuary of Falcón State, Venezuela, famous for its constant breezes, vast sandy beaches, and free spirit, perfect for windsurfing and kitesurfing. This design captures the soft light of dusk, as the sun sets over the ocean, painting the sky and sand with pastel hues and silvery reflections. It is a piece that evokes freedom, bohemian adventure, and the simple beauty of a perfect day on the coast.
The Echo of Wind and Waves
Its lilac felt base (a very soft, earthy lavender, like sand at sunset) is a nod to Adícora's unique color palette at golden hour. This shade is both delicate and robust, just like the landscape.
The decoration, inspired by the images you provided, is an example of relaxed poetry and found treasures:
Intertwined Story Band: It combines an off-white, ruffled (frayed) ribbon that evokes the foam of the waves and the canvas of sails. This ribbon is layered with a thin band of iridescent powder pink or golden beads, symbolizing salt spray or sea dust.
Wind Charm: Small decorative elements are discreetly embedded on the band, recalling precious memories:
- A silver heart-shaped brooch adorned with small crystals, symbolizing love for the sea and bonds formed under the sun.
- A vintage-style golden pin, accompanied by delicate cream or pale pink beads, as well as small crumpled fabric knots in soft hues, evoking small offerings from the sea and fabrics floating in the wind.
Floating Ribbons: Frayed pale pink and off-white ribbons, tied on the side, give an impression of movement and lightness, like flags and kite lines fluttering in the Adícora breeze.
This accessory is for the free spirit who lives for the wind and waves, seeking a balance between bohemian delicacy and the discreet sparkle of a personal jewel.
